Jail Diversion for the mentally ill brief
This document provides a brief description of the very successful Mental Health Jail Diversion Program of the 11th Judicial Circuit. Community Voices Miami has partnered with Hon. Judge Steve Liefman of the 11th Judicial Circuit in an effort to raise awareness about the criminalization of the mentally ill and advocating for training of police officers to prevent the institutionalization of the mentailly ill.
