Through the years of experience in collaborative work with many partners, Community Voices Miami (CVM) has learned that we can take a number of possible roads to achieve our goal of improving access to health care for the uninsured and underserved. The collective lessons from the different sites across the nation point towards five key policy areas. As determined by our work with our colleagues around the country, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Center for Primary Care at the Morehouse School of Medicine, these include: Men's Health, Oral Health, Behavioral Health, Community Health Workers and Case Management. Our previous years of experience on these issues and the particular interest in ensuring that the most marginalized of our communities have equal and appropriate access have helped shape this direction. Our goal is to increase public awareness of these areas, thereby informing the discourse around these issues, ultimately affecting the way that public policy is developed. We invite you to take a closer look at our work in each of the areas.
